According to World Health Organization Cancer is leading cause of death worldwide, accounting for nearly 10million deaths in 2020 or nearly one in six deaths. The most common cancers are, breast, lung, colon, rectum, and prostate cancers.

Between 30 and 50% of cancers can currently be prevented by avoiding risk factors and implementing existing evidence-based prevention strategies. The cancer burden can be reduced through Early detection, and appropriate treatment, and care for patients who develop cancer..

HIV alert campaign in Ghanian communities. Data from the Ghana AIDS Commission as at the ending of the year 2018. Showed a total of 334,713 people living with the Virus.

New infections were also at 19,931. Where a total of 5,532 were youth between the ages of 18-24years. While a total of 14,181 lives were lost to the disease.

These figures are alarming, hence the alert campaign, testing, and the drugs administration should be encouraged.
