Who are we?

The name of the Organization is: Water Harvest Organization. Is an Indigenous Local Founded Non- Governmental Organization in the Upper West Region-Ghana. Specifically, pilot work is in the Issa, and Nadowli District. Some other Districts that are piloted include, Jirapa District, Tumu District, Funsi District. Many large Technologies always start from a small scale. The Organization became fully fledged registered on the 24th June, 2014.

The Headquarters of the Organization is in Wa. The Regional Capital Of The Upper West Region. More details continue.

The founder of Water Harvest Organization is:
Mr. Saanaa, Edmund Sandaare.
The Deputy Director is: Mr. Dogbe-Tomi Komlan Etienne.

OUR MISSION STATEMENT.

  • Passion, drive, and commitment to improving livelihoods, in our Districts or municipalities, and beyond. Areas in Ghana that are now the lowest income earners in the country.
  • To solicit for funds, to end generational hunger, and poverty among our people, and beyond through farming.
  • To solicit for financial supports, to construct earth dams with irrigation channels for both men, and women peasant farmers. This will provide them with all year agriculture, and in times of poor rains they can depend on irrigation for their survival.
  • To add value to the already existing skills of the rural poor in Northern Ghana, and many of the neglected areas by government.
  • To create opportunities for the rural poor in Ghana, to reach their highest potential.
  • To solicit for financial supports to assist the poorest among the poor rural communities, to become employers rather than employees.
  • To seek supports, to establish opportunities for the rural poor communities people in Ghana, to contribute to the large Ghanaian society, and beyond, be recognized for their efforts.
  • To appeal for funds, to construct earth dams for our people, to end their protracted extreme acute water shortages. 
  • A genuine interest in Sustainable Development, and desire to contribute to advancing the Sustainable Development Goals in our communities, and beyond.
  • Desire to connect, and collaborate with people from different domain, and geographies.
  • To work across domains, and gain insights into the brightest minds, tackling sustainable development from the grass roots level up.
  • Sourcing diversity of thought, back ground, and sector, collaborate with people from a plethora of domains, be it civic policy, project management, education, industry, innovation, climate action, and many others.
  • We are looking for a space to exercise our global citizenship muscle, sharpen, and hone skills in leadership, innovation, cross sector collaboration, analytic thinking, interpersonal communication, and allied areas.
  • We want to create, and develop an immerse networking potential- build connections, and be part of a community of practice around ecosystemic collaborative solutions.
  • We are looking for an opportunity to visualize, and implement the Sustainable Development Goals at the grass roots level- Participate in the making of a bright future for the poorest among the poor in Ghana.
  • Jump start our involvement in the Sustainable Development Goals agenda as active, passionate global citizens.
  • We have practical solution ideas to grassroots challenges, complex thinking skills that can solve the rural poor people’s misery, in a measurable, and qualitative manner.
